The
TheraSnore™ was launched in the UK in 2000, and Distar UK
Limited are currently looking to build their network of fitting clinics.

quality of life. The administration is straightforward with minimal overheads,
and there are no lab fees. The TheraSnore™ makes sense both

Simple
to Use, Quick to Fit, Easy to Adjust
The TheraSnore™ offers an easy, comfortable and cost effective
way to stop snoring without lab work, models or even impressions. The appliance
is made of a hard plastic shell with a thermoplastic lining. To fit the
appliance, you simply heat it in a microwave or boiling water, and fit
it directly in the patient's mouth. After fitting, any excess material
can be trimmed away using an acrylic burr. Adjustments can be made simply
by reheating or trimming the appliance.
How
It Works
The TheraSnore™ simply prevents the jaw and tongue from
dropping back into the airway during sleep. The upper tray of the appliance
fits securely over the maxilla, while a protrusion extends from the bottom
tray into the lingual sulcus preventing the mandible from relaxing backwards.
This allows the airway to remain open and permits the patient to breathe
more easily and naturally during sleep. It's that simple. Snoring is eliminated
or significantly reduced in 92% of patients.
Unique
Device
Although there are other anti snoring devices available the TheraSnore™
is the only pre-formed (no lab work) thermoplastic appliance that can be
adjusted either forward or backward in 1.5mm increments, which is fitted
and adjusted at the chair side and does not fix the mandible. The TheraSnore™
can be fitted in 15-20 minutes and can be adjusted by the patient as necessary
after fitting.

Before you fit your first TheraSnore™, you will be able to
watch the fitting video and read the manual, which tell you all you need
to know about the procedure. Staff at the Distar UK Limited office will
be able to answer most of your queries, and you can also contact our technical

clinical and technical enquiries.

Interest
Distar UK Limited can provide you with patient literature and posters for
your surgery. In addition, you will find that our ongoing marketing and

featured in a number of newspapers and magazines, as well as receiving
TV and radio coverage. We can also assist you with ideas for marketing,
and prepare press releases for local papers.
What
You Need to Do
All that is required from you is a fully professional fitting service.
There is no cost to becoming a fitting clinic, other than purchasing the
materials and appliances to carry out the fittings. If you opt to purchase
our 3-appliance Starter Pack, and subsequently decide you would rather
not carry out fittings, return it to us within 90 days for a refund. There
really is nothing to lose.
